Polyethylene wax is one of the most common external lubricants. Polyethylene wax is a type of wax based on polyethylene and is insoluble in organic solvents at normal temperatures, but soluble at higher temperatures in aliphatic compounds, chlorinated hydrocarbons and most non-polar solvents.

Applications of polyethylene wax
