The Director General of the Office of Textile and Clothing Industries of the Ministry of Samet announced that based on the decisions of the steering committee for the management of demand for petrochemical products and the horizon plan, the quota of consumer units of textile polypropylene and polyethylene terephthalate is subject to revision in 2018, taking into account the production statistics and the amount of purchases from the stock market. And it has been corrected.
According to ISNA, Afsaneh Mehrabi said: In order to manage the demand of petrochemical products used in the textile industry and in order to reduce the cost of raw materials needed by this industry, this decision has been taken.
He stated: It is expected that with the measures taken, in addition to improving the activity of production units, we will see the removal of inflammation from the market of petrochemical products.
Mehrabi added: It is obvious that if the production units that have faced a reduction in the quota have doubts about the amount of the current quota, they should refer to the industry, mining and trade organizations of the provinces and provide positive documents based on the production statistics and the amount of purchases from the stock exchange in 2018. Through the province, the Office of Textile, Clothing and Cellulose Industries will be notified so that the issue can be re-examined.
Recently, the Secretary of the Association of Producers and Exporters of Mineral and Drinking Water in Iran announced a 20% increase in the price of the products of this industry due to the increase in the price of raw materials from the petrochemical industry and said that the petrochemical industry makes their products more expensive with the increase in the price of the dollar in the Nima system. This is an ax to the root of the food industry.
Previously, Mohammadreza Mortazavi – the head of the board of directors of the Food Industry Associations and the Secretariat of Industry, Mining and Trade of Iran announced the 130-150% increase in the price of petrochemicals and the subsequent increase in the cost of food industry packaging in recent months and said that when If parent industries such as petrochemical, steel, electricity, and the like increase their prices indiscriminately, it will affect other industries as well; Therefore, this is one of the reasons for the increase in the prices of various goods in recent months, and another reason is the exchange rate fluctuations. It seems that the continuation of this situation has also caused problems for textile units.
